PVC: The All-Weather Champion
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is the dominant choice for event tents in Kampala and beyond. Its main appeal lies in its total waterproofing, durability, and easy cleaning. In Uganda’s climate, which often alternates between intense sun and heavy, sporadic rainfall, PVC offers superior protection. It is also inherently resistant to mildew and UV degradation, meaning a PVC tent from Eratent will maintain its color and structural integrity for many years, even with frequent outdoor use. The downside is that PVC can retain heat, which needs to be managed with proper ventilation, especially during the dry season.
Canvas: The Classic Breathable Option
Canvas, typically a treated cotton or poly-cotton blend, offers excellent breathability.
